Breast Pathologist Dr Savitri Krishnamurthy

Dr. Krishnamurthy, MD, is a Professor of Pathology at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. Her areas of expertise include breast pathology and cytopathology. She is the pathology core leader of the Morgan Welch Inflammatory Breast Cancer research and clinic at MD Anderson Cancer Center. Dr. Krishnamurthy has contributed significantly towards patient care, education, and clinical translational research, and has also been a principal investigator and co-investigator in several clinical trials related to breast cancer. Dr. Krishnamurthy’s current research interest includes molecular and proteomic profiling of intraductal and invasive carcinoma to identify potential biomarkers of clinical significance in the management of breast cancer. In addition, she is also an avid investigator of tissue imaging and artificial intelligence pertaining to applications of digital pathology.
