Shabnam Jaffer

Chair of the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, Lenox Hill Hospital, Northwell Health and Professor, Hofstra Northwell School of Medicine

Dr. Jaffer, MD, is Professor of Pathology at the Zucker Hofstra School of Medicine. She received her medical degree from Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, followed by residency at Mount Sinai in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and then oncologic Surgical Pathology and Cytopathology fellowships, both at Memorial Sloan Kettering. She is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology as well as Cytopathology and has been in practice for more than 22 years. She is currently the Chair of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Lenox Hill Hospital, Northwell Health System. Dr. Jaffer continues to author publications related to breast pathology and gives short courses at USCAP.
